Privacy Policy
This policy covers snappsapps.com and SNAPPS Checkout (snappsapps.com/checkout), operated by SNAPPS APPS (Blue Flames INC), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Each of our apps (like SNAP7 and Faith 101) also has its own privacy policy covering what happens inside that app.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message.
- When you upgrade through SNAPPS Checkout: the email address of the app account you're upgrading, which plan you bought, and your subscription status (active, cancelled, payment dates and amounts). This lets us switch your plan on and off correctly.
- Payment details: handled entirely by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank numbers.
- Basic technical information: like your browser type and IP address, kept in server logs for security and to stop spam and abuse.
Cookies and advertising (Meta Pixel)
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies and similar technology to record things like page visits, when you start a checkout, when you complete a purchase, and when you send our contact form. Meta may use this to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram, to measure whether our ads work, and to find people who may be interested in our apps. Meta handles that information under its own Privacy Policy.
Your choices: you can control how Meta uses this information in your Facebook ad preferences, opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, or block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
Measuring which ads and links work (our own analytics)
So we know which ads, posts and links actually bring people to our apps, snappsapps.com keeps its own simple record — no outside analytics company involved. When you arrive, we save a random visitor ID in your browser (a first-party cookie) along with where you came from: the ad or link tags in the address (like utm_campaign or an ad click ID) and the site that sent you. If you later contact us or buy something through SNAPPS Checkout, we connect that to the visit so we can tell which ad or link led to it.
- What we store: the random visitor ID, where you came from, which of our apps you clicked, your country/region, and your device type.
- What we don't store: your IP address. We keep only a scrambled, one-way code made from your network and device type, used to match a purchase to a recent visit when nothing else links them. Your email is also stored scrambled, with a shortened version (like an•••n@gmail.com) for our records.
- Sharing: when you buy, we send Meta a notice of the purchase with your email and details scrambled, so our Facebook/Instagram ads can tell they worked. We never sell this information.
- How long: deleted automatically after 13 months.
- Your choice: if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don't record you at all. You can also switch it off here:
How we use your information
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To process your upgrade and keep your plan active, and to end it when a subscription is cancelled or payments stop.
- To improve our website and our advertising.
- To protect our apps and our customers from fraud, spam and abuse.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run SNAPPS APPS — PayPal (payments), Meta (advertising, as described above), and the companies that host our website, store our data and send our emails — and only as much as they need to do that job. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
Contact messages: as long as needed to help you. Purchase and subscription records: as long as your plan is active and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Security logs: for a limited time.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email snappsapps902@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our site and checkout are not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
